Reporting to the State Sales Leader, this role will be responsible for driving growth through creating and developing a new prospect pipeline, nurturing prospective client relationships and securing new business for the company. Additionally, a component of the role will be to effectively manage a small portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring that their risk management and insurance broking needs are identified and met. 

 

The Role:

  • Work with an experienced Business Development Executive to develop and enhance new business relationships to ensure maintenance and sustainable growth of the Queensland prospect pipeline
  • Research, develop and deliver sales strategies and overall direction
  • Co-ordinate tender opportunities and project manage responses
  • Closely interact with prospects to identify specific opportunities including ‘Needs Analysis’ and introduction of Willis Towers Watson Specialisms
  • Ensure that the client’s risk management and insurance broking objectives are determined and actioned to ensure the delivery of high quality services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with insurers, clients and other key stakeholders (internal and external), representing Willis Towers Watson in a professional manner

 

The Requirements:

  • You should demonstrate strong relationship building and networking skills
  • You have a proven ability to understand and meet a client's needs
  • You have a demonstrated history of utilising your strong influencing and persuasion skills
  • You have solid insurance broking, supported by your Tier 1 (insurance broking) qualifications and a demonstrated commercial acumen
  • Proven experience developing new business
  • Your excellent report writing skills are supported by a reasonable level of competency in Word and Excel and knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Your oral and written communication skills are outstanding.  Whether you are communicating one-on-one, or to a group, you’re exceptional interpersonal skills ensure you stand out from the crowd
