Assistant Underwriter

An exciting opportunity of Assistant Underwriter in our General Insurance division has opened up due to an internal promotion. As an Assistant Underwriter you’ll help our customers to manage risk and protect what they love most. You’ll do this by providing superior underwriting support to our Financial Lines and Specialty underwriters within specified service level agreements to contribute to market leading broker experiences and profitable growth.
 
You’ll use your outstanding administration and organisational skills to work closely with Underwriters and other Service team members in the administration of policies. You’ll have a customer focused mindset which will drive you to constantly look for ways to improve our processes and have the opportunity to earn Zurich lean qualifications in doing so. Your superior verbal and written communication skills will stand you in good stead as you liaise with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. 

In this varied role you’ll have to prioritise your time effectively as you juggle a wide
variety of responsibilities from data entry and handling client enquiries through to helping Underwriters with Technical Underwriting tasks and participating in special projects. You’ll be the type of person who is happy to tackle any job no matter how big or small and you’ll take pride in your ability to work within a diverse, friendly and achievement focused culture where your self motivation, resilience and persistence will be valued.
