The Role:We’re after experienced Investment Consultants to join our Sydney team at the Senior Associate level. Our Investment Consultants provide the full range of investment services to sophisticated clients who require the design and implementation of non-standard and/or complex solutions. You will be required to use a wide breadth and depth of experience and sound judgment to add value and develop client focused solutions, support business development activities with new and existing clients, and participate in external marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- Leading / contributing to consulting to clients on relevant investment issues ensuring they receive high quality advice incorporating intellectual capital generated by specialists.
- Managing client requirements and briefing teams, providing the direction and guidance required to ensure deadlines and service standards are met.
- Ensuring that changes to strategy, structure, managers are implemented on time and in an appropriate manner.
- Participating, as appropriate, in business development and marketing activities including involvement in new business pitches, conference presentations etc.
- Contributing to Mercer’s Investment Consulting thought leadership and profile as a generator of leading edge thinking in the institutional investment consulting sector both locally and globally.
- Acting as a mentor to junior analysts
To be successful in this role, we are seeking confident communicators who have the ability to work with and effectively manage a diverse range of stakeholders. In addition, you will also be required to have the following skills and experience:
- 6+ years’ experience in broad investment management and/or investment advisory or actuarial consulting roles
- A passion for investment markets and client engagement
- An appropriate Finance/Commerce undergraduate degree and the CFA designation (or alternative appropriate qualification)
- Have outstanding presentation, written and verbal communication skills along with strong engagement and interpersonal skills.
