We are currently seeking an entrepreneurial senior broker to join our team in Sydney. Reporting to the Regional Head of Facultative, the successful applicant will be responsible for continuing to grow the Casualty based classes of the Facultative Business, developing new business through active marketing and the provision of high quality advice and placement capability. They will also be responsible for maintaining existing business relationships and achieving revenue optimisation with existing clients. 

 

The Role:

 

  • Responsible for a full range of service delivery to cedents
  • Foster and develop existing and new cedent relationships
  • Placement strategy including liaison and coordination with our teams world-wide
  • Manage and develop relationships with reinsurers
  • Preparation of all forms of client documentation including slips, endorsements and cover notes.
  • General office administration duties

 

The Requirements:

 

  • Proven Casualty insurance experience either within broking or underwriting with knowledge in the following classes of business: General Liability, Professional Lines including and Professional Indemnity and Directors & Officers Liability
  • Construction Liability including Project Specific PI
  • Specialising in Casualty although some experience gained in other classes would be an advantage
  • Proven track record of reinsurance relationships and programme design
  • Sound oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional client service and building of client relationships
  • Proactive and diligent approach to all tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to broaden product knowledge
  • Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office & Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously; and general willingness to learn and grow within a global market leader
