Our client is an innovative and progressive public company which provides high-quality investments and insurance products to individuals and families throughout Australia. With strong ties to the funeral industry we are looking for an Account Manager to manage a core group of Funeral Directors across Victoria and Tasmania.
  • Package of $140k plus comms

This position will be suited to a candidate that is empathetic and driven. We need someone who loves the industry and is willing to go to great lengths to not only provide first class service to their clients but build outstanding and long-lasting relationships.

The Job:

This is a true Relationship Management role, managing 70-80 existing accounts. 
  • Develop and implement annual sales plan
  • Drive sales through new client acquisition and organic growth
  • Attend industry meetings
  • Have sound knowledge of financial service products
The Candidate:

The candidate will need to be extremely empathetic, be a great communicator and very flexible with their time. Ideally, you’ll have had exposure to the finance industry and have sold some type of insurance products or have worked in the funeral industry before.
  • 5+ years in B2B and B2C Sales and Account Management
  • Proven capabilities in building professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills (happy to public speak from time to time)
  • Ability to actively listen to the client and find what their needs are
  • Proven experience in driving sales
Travel:

This position will require an extensive amount of travel local and interstate and approximately up to 8 weekends away. The ideal candidate will be flexible with their time and be happy to work the hours required to grow client relationships. You will also need to be a candidate that thrives in an autonomous environment as a considerable part of your role will be field based.  

The Package:
  • $140k including super and car allowance
  • 7.5% OTE risk

This is an autonomous and varied role where you are involved in all facets of the business. From relationship building, one on one appointments, attending conferences, working with the marketing team and being a subject matter expert, this is an interesting and varied role.
