The Fund
Since inception, this super fund has achieved considerable success with many metrics above industry medians, including funds under management growth, average member balances, proportion of assets invested outside of the default investment option and the growth of pension assets.
The Position
As Compliance Analyst, you will be a key member of the Fund’s Risk and Compliance team which has responsibility for ensuring the proper management, monitoring, evaluation and reporting in respect of the compliance, prudential and regulatory obligations of the Trustee and Fund. The position will work closely with the Executive Manager, Compliance and one other specialist, and entail regular interaction with people fulfilling a diverse range of functions in the Trustee Office. You will:
- Assist in the implementation and ongoing development of the Trustee’s Compliance Framework;
- Assist in the implementation of best practice in compliance practices for the Trustee and Fund, and foster a compliance culture;
- Assist the Executive Manager Compliance in relation to incident and complaint management;and
- Assist in monitoring and reporting in respect of compliance requirements
Much of the Fund’s operations are outsourced, including administration, insurance and custody. This role will primarily focus on assisting in the monitoring and reporting on the compliance of the Trustee and Fund.
The Person
You have:
- Knowledge and understanding of the superannuation industry, gained through practical experience in the sector (1-2 years);
- Undergraduate qualifications in Business/ Law or another relevant discipline (strongly desirable);
- Strong oral and written communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills;
- A demonstrated and proactive outcome-focussed approach in previous roles;
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills;
- Good analytical skills, with strong attention to detail at all times; and
- A collegiate work approach with both internal team members and external service providers to deliver pragmatic solutions that comply with compliance, prudential or regulatory requirements
