The Venue
The Royal Prince Edward Yacht Club (RPEYC) is a private yacht club located on Felix Bay, Point Piper on the southern shoreline of Sydney Harbour. There are currently 500 members and you are only a member by invite. The first floor of the Clubhouse consists of the Club Bar, full sized billiard table, a large lounge room and separate dining room overlooking Shark Island.
Apart from fully catered lunches and dinners, the lounge and dining room are used extensively for information evenings and talks related to sailing. Members are permitted to host their own private functions at the Club, catered to their specific requirements.
The Role
You will be working within a small team and on occasions stand alone, in this friendly environment, with a dedicated Sous Chef and front of house team who are professional and treat each other like a big family. This is a unique opportunity for a professional Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team 3 days per week, and to enjoy the fast paced environment the kitchen has to offer, one of which also embraces a work/life balance.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CDP, working in a fast-paced kitchen, functions and events
- Able to work 3 days per week, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Must have Qualifications or trade experience equivalent
- Worked in either a contemporary café, gastro pub and/or restaurants
- Previous experience in a fast paced environment
- Flexible and willing attitude, clear communication and customer service skills
- Prepared to work in multi outlets including restaurant service, events and café
- Immaculate grooming and pride in presentation
- Easy access to public transport for occasional early starts and late finishes
- You will be reliable, dedicated, willing to continue learning and passionate
