Revenue Manager

We have an opportunity for an experienced Revenue Manager to join our team for a fixed period of 12 months (Parental Leave cover).  The position may be based at our property in Cairns, or our property based in Sydney.

Our Revenue Manager works very closely with our General Manager and plays a critical role in the financial success of our hotel by implementing and delivering effective revenue management and distribution strategies.

As Revenue Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive revenue maximization initiatives in rooms and food and beverage and create Revenue Management process in the hotel. 
  • Lead cross functional decision making of all revenue generating departments including Sales and Marketing, Rooms, Catering & Food and Beverage departments. 
  • Be responsible for competitive intelligence and facilitate strategic competitive practices through scientific decision support tools.    
  • Manage the day to day yielding and pricing strategies for the hotel.
  • Create financial year budgets for rooms, catering and food & beverage and maintain rolling forecasts for all areas. 
  • Identify new revenue opportunities for the hotel.
  • Oversee all 3rd party distribution channels.
  • Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports with recommendations to improve long term revenue generation strategies.

This is a role for an experienced Revenue or Distribution Manager.  To be considered for this role you must have previous experience in a similar hospitality related role.  Experience with revenue management software programs (Ideas, SynXis), Hotel Systems (Opera) and advanced working knowledge of Excel is preferred.
