Breakfast & Lunch Chef | Feathers Pavilion

Matthews Hospitality Group is seeking a bright and talented casual Breakfast & Lunch Chef for The Pavilion and Function facilities, situated in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide.

With no nights required, this exciting opportunity would suit a morning person with a great attitude and attention to detail, presentation, flair and a passion for healthy cooking. The primary role is to support our main Breakfast Chef and create a team during the day that delivers on our commitment to quality over a 7-day roster.

The ideal candidate will have longevity in previous positions and must have a real passion for creating fresh, seasonal, healthy food and show flair and creativity through our menus. Your proven track record in control of food costs and quality control will be critical to your success in applying for this role.

Key Duties

  • Produce great food to a consistently high standard of presentation and quality
  • Deliver to our Client's high expectation of a premium experience
  • Maintain an overall knowledge and passion for nutrition and healthy eating
  • Observation of and implementation of allergy awareness controls.
  • Deliver on expectations of portion control, waste minimisation and stock control.
  • Be part of our passionate team who will be dedicated to creating memorable experiences
  • Adhering to all relevant health and safety and food safety standards

The Person

  • Trade Qualified Chef
  • Team player and able to work autonomously and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
  • Prior experience in a high paced & high-quality Kitchen
  • Excellent and Innovative culinary skills
  • Be motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
  • Solid knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
