The InterContinental brand returned to Perth, in October 2017. InterContinental Perth City Centre is a 240-room design orientated hotel in the heart of Perth’s CBD.  Focused on corporate and transient market bringing the InterContinental personalised service to life.  

Due to internal movements, we are looking for a Duty Manager (Guest Service Manager) to join our charming, confident and internationally minded team who know how to exceed guest expectations. 

Reporting directly to the Director of Rooms, you’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because, for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who will be involved in all pertinent matters affecting guest service and hotel operations to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel.  

As Guest Service Manager you would be responsible for responding to guest needs; resolving any issues that may arise; supervising and supporting Reception and Concierge during busy periods; greeting; farewelling guests; conducting daily departmental briefings and providing input for regular team meetings.  You will also play an integral part in leading and developing the team through training and development.

Ideally you'll have demonstrated experience in a similar role in a front office department within a luxury hotel operation and have previous experience in leading a team. You'll be driven to achieve desired results through the key performance indicators associated with guest and colleague satisfaction. You'll have excellent guest relations, problem solving and time management skills; have a working knowledge of hotel property management systems such as Opera and an understanding of point of sales systems such as Micros. 

You will also be required to have a full WA drivers license and ongoing availability to work rostered across 24 hours a day, including weekends and public holidays.
