Heron Island Resort is looking for a Plumber/Gas Fitter to join the team providing exceptional service to our Guests at our resort. Heron Island really is a special place, a natural coral cay located off the coast of Gladstone. It’s not another Great Barrier Reef resort, it’s a resort on the Great Barrier Reef! You will be surrounded by crystal clear waters, idyllic dive locations and amongst an amazing array of marine and birdlife.
Responsible for the plumbing maintenance and repairs, you will carry out works to the highest standard of product quality at all times.
Your role will include:
- attending to any urgent repairs;
- undertaking maintenance to all buildings/areas as required;
- adhering to all WH&S requirements;
- assisting other members of the maintenance team as required;
- becoming part of the on-call roster.
What you will bring to the role;
- trade qualifications - plumber/drainer and gas fitter;
- excellent personal presentation;
- previous experience in a similar role;
- the ability to multi-task;
- current unrestricted driver's licence;
- an understanding of safe work practices;
- experience in water and sewerage treatment (highly regarded).
