Aromas is a well established modern café and has been serving breakfast, lunch, coffee & cake to loyal customers for nearly 17 years. With menus constantly changing and new products always in development this is your chance to join a fresh young team looking to build on an already solid foundation.
About The Role
This role will initially be a casual position with the possibility of a permanent role after a specified probation period.
Tasks within the role will include:
-Producing a variety of cabinet items such as quiche, pastries and fresh salads daily
-Prepare and present menu items promptly and to the standard set by management
-Ensure the rotation of stock while minimising wastage
-Work with our head chef and other chefs to develop new products and menu items as well as daily specials
About You
Our ideal candidate will have relevant trade qualifications and experience although apprentices with proven skills & knowledge wanting to take the next step in their career are also encouraged to apply
-You will need the ability to work in a busy fast paced kitchen
-You must be able to work early mornings (we serve breakfast from 7am)
-You are punctual & reliable
-You should have the ability to run and be accountable for your own section including maintaining stock levels
-Must have an eye for detail and a flair for presentation
-You possess strong communication skills
