We are looking for a Supervisor, Baristas, Kitchen hands and Cafe all-rounders to join our team at our Shingle Inn Macquarie Centre store. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase your passion for customer service, make premium products and utilise your fantastic organisational skills!
Supervisor duties include:
- Maintaining an exceptionally high standard of customer service
- Ensuring quality control is maintained on all food and drink products
- Meeting budgeted sales, expenditure and wage management
- Implementing and maintaining marketing campaigns, displays and sales techniques
- Developing Weekly Rosters
- Conducting regular stocktake
- Maintaining strong team motivation and ongoing team development
- Adhering to and monitoring Workplace Health and Safety standards
Baristas duties include:
- Preparing coffee and drink orders to customer specifications
- Developing skills and knowledge of coffee and drink products
- Ensuring cleanliness of work space at all times
- Being organised and efficient
- Work well as part of a small team
- Be willing to learn other areas of the business and support the team by undertaking other café roles, with a positive 'can do' attitude
Cafe all-rounder duties include:
- Providing quick, efficient and polite service at all times
- Promoting and upselling all stock available for purchase
- Developing and expanding your barista knowledge and skills
- Using the point of sale system and cash handling duties
- Constant communication with all team members to ensure service is reaching optimum levels
- Preparing café style menu selections and using kitchen equipment
- Conducting general cleaning duties
- Ensure compliance of workplace, health and safety, and other legislative requirements
Kitchen duties include:
- Preparing high quality food for customers in a timely manner
- Ensuring food recipes are followed to our high Shingle Inn standards
- Maintaining minimal wastage
- Work well as part of a small team
To be successful, you will:
- For Supervisor, have at least 2 years experience as a cafe supervisor
- Be committed to delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding your customers' expectations
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be willing to be trained in all areas of the cafe
- Be excited about working in a dynamic & busy cafe environment
- Have a passion for great coffee, great food and great service!
- Must have full availability across a 7-day roster
- And finally, have a positive 'can do' attitude and love working as part of a team!
Flexible availability is essential, as we operate seven days.
