We currently have an appealing opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to contribute to the overall smooth running of the business on a part-time basis (Appox 20hrs to 28hrs per week). This role will be based in our head office based in Brisbane.
Overview
Reporting into the General Manager, this role will be dealing with our Australian and New Zealand office financial accounts. You will be responsible for the Preparation and completion of monthly management accounts, Annual Budgets and Forecast along with some day to day finance duties. You will support Senior Management to improve efficiency and profitability.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Payment of Domestic and international Supplier Invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparation and analysis of accounts for reporting and presentation to management
- Comparison of accounts and commentary on emerging trends
- Leading the development of annual budgets
- Advising on possible areas of waste or opportunities to find cost efficiencies
- Cash Flow forecasting
- Product Costing Analysis
- Completion of GST Returns (NZ)
- Completion of BAS (AUS)
- Monthly Payroll
Essential skills and experience required:
- Proven experience in a similar role and across the functions described above
- Experience with XERO is preferable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Strong analytical skills with a good eye for detail
- A relevant industry qualification is preferable
- Strong Foundation of accounting and business fundamentals with the ability to think “outside the box”
