Busy suburban Newcastle hotel is after an experienced cook/chef. The position is casual with approx. 25-30 hours per week. A combination of days, evenings and weekend work.
In the position you will work in a busy kitchen producing food of exceptional quality to hotel patrons. You will be responsible for the daily preparation of food items along with managing of fry stations or other areas of the kitchen. You will be working under two additional chefs and must have the ability to take on instructions and carry out specific tasks.
The main task for the position will be a combination of managing both the larder section and running a pass on any particular day or night.

The Role:
- Prepare and cook good quality meals according high company standards
- Ensure safe work practices with a particular focus on Work, Health and Safety (WHS)
- Minimise waste during preparation and service periods
- Cleaning kitchen at the end of shift
The Person:
- At least 1 year minimum experience in a similar role
- Reliable
- Ability to take on instructions
- Can work in a team environment
- Passionate and enthusiastic about good quality cooking
- Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work weekend shifts
