Bayleaf Sydney is one of Sydney’s leading culinary design houses offering a sophisticated yet uncomplicated approach to food & wine.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced in Food & Beverage & Event Coordination to lead the daily catering operations including overall quality, service and service staff performance of the corporate catering and the designated retail outlet.
This role is responsible for overseeing the onsite catering team in the overall running of the venue, its events and café.
The coordinator will work daily with the staff to ensure both guest satisfactions in our corporate events and in the outlet by training, coaching, developing and correcting behaviour of the staff.
This is a leadership position that directs the work of all hourly staff and is responsible for the overall performance of the site.
Responsibilities:
- Execute outlet operations including food and beverage promotions, customer service and
- inventories
- Lead the Front of the House staff in training the following: banquet standards, conferencing standards and customer service
- Monitor the performance of our service staff
- Maintain site inventory, cleanliness, stock rotation and menu consistency
- Maintain policies and procedures. Adhere to HACCP, OH + S, Food Safety Program guidelines
- Provide assistance to the Venue Manager in all quote preparation, menu preparations,
kitchen rules, service standards, cleanliness and inventory controls for F&B
- Assist in all catering efforts, staffing and inventory controls as assigned
- Assist in the execution of the strategic plan including forecasting, budget management, profit and loss accountability, cost control and inventories
- Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning and operation of the outlet and service equipment
- Assist in the execution of administrative function such as reporting, forecasting, quality assurance and departmental meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned
The Successful Candidate will:
- Ideally bring extensive hospitality and catering experience in a large event capacity
- Preferably possess a minimum 2 years’ experience within a similar style role
- Be a hospitality professional with a passion for food and a proven track record in delivering a first-class service.
- Have planning and stakeholder engagement experience, inordinate attention to detail and respect for both protocol and deadlines.
- Have the ability to react quickly to changing conditions whilst delivering quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in the following software preferred; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Micros POS
- Articulate with highly developed communication skills and immaculate presentation
- Willingness to upgrade work-related skills and knowledge
- RSA Certified
- Full driver’s license
- Must have full working rights in Australia - sorry working holiday visas will not qualify
