About the role
The Westin Brisbane is looking for a passionate and energetic Venues Manager to join the Pre-Opening team!
Reporting to the the Director of Food & Beverage, you will share our passion for delivering an unrivalled level of service and be highly motivated in an environment where exceeding the expectations is the minimum standards.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Responsible for coordinating the work of the Food and Beverage Attendants, Team Leaders & Supervisors in an efficient manner, whilst maintaining quality and standards.
- Have a full knowledge of the Outlet operations and roles therein.
- Responsible for critically assessing procedures, policies, and methods of operation and alter them where necessary
- Ensure all food and beverage items served to guests are of the highest standard and presentation.
- Understand and supervise opening and closing procedures including a thorough knowledge of the Point of Sale System.
- Ensure cleanliness of bar, tables, chairs, floor and general equipment. In liaison with Director of Food & Beverage, ensure sufficient equipment for the operation of the outlet.
Required
- Previous leadership experience in a 4 - 5 star hotel or similar
- Extensive Cocktail and Beverage knowledge
- Excellent time management, managerial and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead by example
- The drive to consistently deliver the very best
- Hold current certificates for RSA and RMLV
- Available to work 7 days on a rotating roster - Days & Nights
