The multi award winning, multi venue hospitality operation, Gambaro Group, is eagerly seeking passionate & experienced Sous Chefs to help lead our enthusiastic & motivated kitchen team in opening our first Italian offering, Persone by Gambaro, in the newly built Brisbane Quarter. Reporting to the Group Executive Chef and Head Chef, you will lead & drive our group to deliver incredible guest experiences in line with our reputation.

With your strong cooking skills and passion for your profession, this is truly an opportunity to advance your career. 

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills/qualities:

• Ability to supervise the smooth running of a busy kitchen, including the daily preparation, production and presentation of food.
• Confidence to utilise your staff management abilities and excellent communication skills to ensure your team know what to expect and deliver every time.
• A thorough understanding of cost control for both food & wages.
• Expertise through previous A La Carte and Banquet experience.
• Challenge driven with a strong passion for continued learning and self-development.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Believe in working to a consistent level of quality with a creative flair and eye for detail.
• Understanding of kitchen safety standards and sanitary requirements
