Assistant Pearl Farm Manager

Willie Creek Pearls was established in 1991 and has grown over 27 years to become one of Western Australia’s and the Kimberley's most awarded tourism operations.  This family owned business includes tourism, retail, hospitality and pearling operations at multiple locations including Willie Creek, Broome, Perth, Subiaco and Sorrento.   Our commitment to our team is constant and we foster a strong sense of support and participation.

An exciting opportunity now exists for a down-to-earth, hands-on, go-getter, Assistant Pearl Farm Manager in beautiful Broome; promoting Willie Creek Pearls and the Western Australian Pearling Industry.  This is a unique experience that shares our knowledge about Broome Pearls with visitors from across the globe.

All team members work enthusiastically together, growing our strong culture of providing the highest standards of customer service. The role available requires a 100% can do attitude; highly motivated professional individual to excel in a 2IC position.

You will be required to make significant contribution to company performance, and to assist us in realising the full potential of our operations at Willie Creek.  Reporting lines to the Pearl Manager Manager and Tourism Experiences Manager you will be required to be able to demonstrate: -

  • Previous experience in a 2IC or Management position with a minimum of 3 years’ experience with a focus on exceptional customer service and identifying sales opportunities
  • Leadership skills with proven ability to communicate, be part of and coordinate a team
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage logistics, plan workloads & control progress
  • A proven track record in sales with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • Confident oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and be part of a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to show initiative and think on your feet whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Previous experience with Rezdy an online booking system and / or a tour management software
  • Strong computer skills including MS programs and applications

Previous experience in a multi-faceted tourism, retail or hospitality operation would be an advantage as would any relevant pearling industry experience.

Working in a Tourism and Retail business, you will be available for regular weekend work as well as weekdays; present a professional image and act commercially at all times.  An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
