Independently owned Surfair Beach Hotel on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join their team.
The successful applicant must have experience in a fast paced high volume environment with strong leadership skills and be a team player.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Executive Head Chef to maintain a high level of consistency in delivering great quality meals to our patrons.
Skills and Experience reqiured
- an excellent 'hands on approach'
- manage the kitchen in all aspects in the absence of the Executive Head Chef
- wage control
- stock control and ordering
- be well presented and have excellent communication and time management skills with the ability to work mornings, days, nights and weekends;
- experience in large functions such as Weddings and Corporate Events for up to 500 people
- have a minimum of 24 months experience in a similar role and lead by example;
- be highly motivated, and looking for a long term career
