Cater Care are seeking a Part Time Catering Assistant/Cook to work at our Boarding School and Cafe in Alice Springs.

Your role is to ensure our students and staff have the opportunity to enjoy their meals in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere with excellent food service and quality.

Reporting to the Site Manager the key responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of hot and cold breakfast items, fresh baked morning tea and lunch preparation
  
• Adherence to service times with consistency and quality of food product
  
• Serving meals to students and accommodating special diet requirements
  
• Cleaning of kitchen areas, dishwashing, ordering and stock replenishments
  
• Monitoring and promoting kitchen hygiene & food safety practices
  
• Driving required to transport meals between School and Cafe

• Assisting Chef with food preparation
  
• Service of hot and cold meals from servery
  
• Setting and clearing dining room and cafe
  
• Friendly customer service and good communication
  
• Cleaning of kitchen & dining areas
  
• Extensive dishwashing
• Maintaining food hygiene and safety
  
• Ability to work under high pressure situations and catering in large volumes
  
• Work independently and as part of a team
  

Successful candidates will have previous experience in a similar role working in food service, commercial kitchens or catering; be well presented and self-motivated with a strong focus on customer care.
