The Business

Located in the heart of the Melbourne Racing precinct, this Hotel comprises a great beer garden, a recently renovated bistro and function room which offers a selection of craft beers, and with it's traditional public bar, this Venue has something for everyone.

The Role

This exciting role has been designed for a motivated and ambitious Venue Manager who has several years' experience in managing venues and teams and has the entrepreneurial drive to lead this stylish and trendy Venue to meet market demands through their own initiatives.

Critical to this role is also the ability to take a strategic approach in driving revenue management, food and beverage, recruiting and training, customer service and achieving financial targets.

You will be responsible for planning, and with the support of your Assistant Manager, controlling operations across the venue. It is anticipated that you will have a high level of attention to detail and have a natural interest in maintaining current market knowledge and harnessing your keen "eye for trends".

Ideal Candidate:

The position will suit someone who may be seeking an opportunity to invest in a partnership. However to be considered for the position you must be a dynamic, innovative and dedicated individual to lead a team, to manage the operational workflow of both front and back of house to ensure our customers and clients have an exceptional experience.

You must also have a commercial mind, ideally a strong understanding of financial management with an ability to assist in managing the P&L, weekly budget and COGS costing or willingness to learn. A must have is your background in delivering service excellence within a hospitality environment. Experience maintaining social media to drive traffic to the venue is welcomed by not mandatory.

A background in Business Management within a Hospitality environment would be preferred.
