About the Hotel
The Hotel Windsor is an iconic Australian hotel embodying the architecture and elegance of a European style 'Grand Hotel', situated on Spring Street and located at the 'Paris' end of Melbourne. Our beautiful hotel is looking for an Assistant Manager/Duty Manager in our Front Office Department to join our team.
About the role
This position is ideal for an experienced Duty Manager who wants to join the Front Office Team and work for one the most renowned Hotels in Melbourne.
In this role you will report to the Front Office Manager and work with the team in a supportive environment and professional manner.
Duties
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver exceptional guest service to offer an unforgettable stay and guarantee guests return
- Fully responsible for the Hotel in the absence of the CEO and Front Office Manager
- Respond to guest needs and issues intuitively and as they arise in a professional manner
- Supervise, direct and support the Front Office Team with their daily activities
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1-2 years experience in a 5 stars Hotel Front Office operations
- Exposure to both front desk & reservation procedures
- Previous experience as Front Office Supervisor, Assistant Manager or Duty Manager
- Excellent customer relation, problem solving and time management skills
- Working knowledge of a hotel property management system such as Opera
- Availability for evenings, weekends and public holidays
