A large family owned Group of Restaurants is looking for a team leader to bring culinary skills to this highly sort after waterfront located Restaurant
The Restaurant is a busy successful business serving up to 200 meals per service. We are looking for the right head chef to bring culinary delight to the patrons and showcase one of the best Restaurants in the area.
Our business is family focussed and believe there is a great importance to work - life balance. Salary package is negotiable and can be high for the right applicant.
We are prepared to pay top money of $75,000 plus (plus super) for the right Head Chef to work in this idyllic location of Nelson Bay. The salary package is highly negotiable for the right applicant. If you can run a busy kitchen and maintain food costs at the appropriate levels then we are happy to provide excellent remuneration. Rostering to ensure Restaurant and functions are looked after at the same time is important and the ability to maintain both food and wage costs.
We believe the menu should reflect the abilities of the head chef and the team and are looking for someone who wants to put a stamp on the menu and make it their own. We are always looking for creative menu ideas to showcase the head chef and their team
We are also looking for other talented sous, commi or demi chefs looking to advance their career. The Restaurant is one of the best on the area and looking for the right team to operate
This role is for an experienced chef capable of running the team and providing 200 meals a night. Please is medium fine dining and quality and visual appeal needs to be perfect.
Functions are held at the Sites and experience in this field is important. The successful Restaurant Group is being run by a very experienced company with over 20 years experience in the industry. This is a great opportunity to be part of this successful team and learn from the experienced operators.
Experience is required and the following skills are important
- Well Groomed
- Reliable and Punctual
- Able to work as a team
- Able to work 7 days lunch and dinner shifts
- Able to work within budgets
- Can work as part of the team including prep and pass work
- Able to Roster and manage kitchen staff if required
- Have a food safety supervisor certificate
- Ability to cook high level and exciting menus
- Ability to write and cost menus
- Dedicated to work with a growing site within a major Restaurant group
- Able to work closely with the chef team and site manager to excell in customer service
