The 5-star Pan Pacific Perth is recruiting for an experienced and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our Kitchens Department. This key role focuses on coordinating operational services and supervises the food preparation associates. Reporting to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in co-ordinating all aspects of the operation to
- Ensure the services of the Food Preparation department are delivered
- Assume responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and management of associates.in Food Preparation
- Oversee the Hotel's Food Safety and Hygiene program, HACCP knowledge.
Skills and experience
- Minimum three to four years' experience in a Chef De Partie role or higher within leading 5 stars hotels or head chef in high end restaurants
- Management experience
- 5-star environment experience in large operations
- Highly-developed interpersonal, communication skills, good written and spoken English
- Immaculate personal presentation, suited to a 5-star hotel environment.
- A passion for food, innovation, dedication and knowledge of current trends
- Ability to supervise a team of 12+ chefs in any given shifts
