The Position 

We currently have an exciting full time opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to join our team of catering professionals based in the Gympie region. This diverse role will require you to lead a small team whilst also being hands on with cooking, coffee making, cashier operation and maintaining HACCP procedures. This role is hands on and you will be working as part of a team!

Key duties 

  • Lead and motivate a team in the production of fresh quality food and high standards of customer service 
  • Bulk Cooking – Site trades Breakfast, Lunch and Late Supper!
  • Work within a small team of 3 with excellent customer service experience
  • Purchase of goods, stock control and menu management 
  • Ensure staff adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures 
  • Enhance workplace culture - that of a fun, friendly and safe environment.

The Person 

  • Chef trade qualifications & sound retail experience 
  • Previous Café management is advantageous!
  • Management experience, including rostering, budgets, business management and HACCP
  • Strong communication skills as you will be in daily contact with Clients, Customers and staff 
  • Strong Occupational Health and Safety focus. 
  • Ability to work some public holidays
