We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Assistant Venue Manager to join our team at the iconic Woollahra Hotel. Our ideal candidate has worked in a similar style venue and is comfortable managing a multi-faceted business whilst on shift where food plays an integral part of the venue's offerings. We value personality, commitment and a can do attitude as the keys to success.

About the Role:

In this role you will be responsible for:

• The overall operations of the business whilst on shift
• Leading and managing a team
• Regular coaching, training and mentoring of staff to improve them and service standards
• Cost control with a focus on labour
• Build relationships with our regulars and customers
• Adherence & reporting to compliance and legislative matters
• Entertainment, Lighting and Atmosphere
• Continuous improvement in operations and service

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Strong leadership skills
• An ability to think outside the square
• Proven experience working in a multi-faceted business
• An understanding and appreciation of gaming
• Effective time management and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of current liquor legislation
• Hands on approach with a natural ability to lead a team to be the best they can
