Oakwood Worldwide is a global brand and has owned and operated hotels and apartments internationally for over 20 years.  Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Brisbane is located in the CBD and has over 161 accommodation rooms, onsite restaurant and conference and event facilities.  The Hotel is recruiting for a highly driven Front Office Night Manager.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar hospitality industry role and possess the following capabilities:

Are you an experienced Night Manager looking for your next career move?  As our Night Manager you will oversee the night operations of the hotel, in the absence of management. To ensure that maximum guest satisfaction is achieved and that the general safety and security of guests, staff and the property is maintained at all times.

 Your expertise will enable you to provide a high level of service to our guests.  Your typical duties will include but won't be limited to:

  • Night management of hotel operations in the absence of department HODs
  • Managing daily reconciliation of hotel outlets and completing daily revenue postings
  • Checking in and out guests as required
  • Preparing and distributing relevant reports to inter departments
  • Managing and confirming reservation details and accounts for in-house guest’s details ensuring all details are recorded accurately
  • Collating paperwork for departures and coordinate with the Front Office team
  • Providing supervision and support to the Front Office team and other departments when required
  • Responding to guest enquires and requests in a timely manner
  • Ensuring an effective handover of issues is conveyed at the start and end of each shift between Night Audit, and Reception
  • Maximising guest satisfaction as well as the safety and security of the property
  • Attending to guests requests efficiently and effectively in order to ensure total customer satisfaction
  • Audit the daily activity of front office and food & beverage operations in accordance to policies and procedures
  • Provide accurate and up to date financial and yield reports as directed
  • Night management of hotel operations in the absence of department HODs
  • Ensure guest feedback is recorded accurately per operational standards and any matters requiring action are resolved in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Ensure guest security and privacy is maintained at all times
  • Experience with a Property Management Software – Suite 8 preferred
  • Strong computer literacy
  • An ability to work comfortably within a team as well as autonomously
  • Promote a safe work environment for guests and colleagues.

To be successful you will require:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Manager in a Front Office environment
  • Previous Night Auditor experience
  • Strong operations PMS knowledge
  • Exceptional grooming, presentation and communication skills
