Poachers Pantry is a boutique regional producer of gourmet smoked meats, located north of Canberra. The award-winning Smokehouse Restaurant showcases the smoked meats and Wily Trout wines produced on the property. The restaurant operates a contemporary a la carte brunch and lunch menu Friday to Sunday. Wedding receptions are held in the restaurant and marquee on Friday and Saturday evenings during peak wedding season, October to April.
The Events & Weddings Manager is responsible for taking an event from the inquiry stage through to the delivery of a high-quality event.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to wedding and event inquiries.
- Coordination of the event with the customer and ensuring their event requirements are fully met. Working with the operational staffs and effectively communicating the customer's needs.
- Managing team of wait staff to ensure a high quality of hospitality/food service is delivered
- Recruiting and training of wait staff
- Preparation of the sales materials - brochures, website information and social media.
- Assisting the restaurant manager during the quieter months.
- Ensuring the front of house is maintained to OHS and NSW Food Authority standards.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in managing events.
- Hospitality certification beneficial but not essential
The person in this role must be a confident and enthusiastic leader.
