Position Description

POSITION PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this position is to assist and support the Admissions and Enrolment Manager as related to admissions, enrolments, enquiry management, administration and related activities. At times, this position will assist the Executive Director and University Relations Managers, in a variety of recruitment and marketing tasks.

This position will primarily involve the coordination of applications and enrolments for CISaustralia internships (and at times other) programs and assist with the coordination of leads and enquiries.

The successful candidate will play an active role in the CISaustralia Admissions team which is made up of a small but dedicated team of individuals. The role will involve various admissions / administrative tasks associated with representing CISaustralia, including but not limited to answering student enquiries via multiple communication channels, processing applications, assisting with education, visa and travel related documentation, various administrative tasks and other tasks as required. Administrative duties will include data entry of student enquiries and applications, answering telephone, website and email enquiries, and assisting with collation of participant data.

The position will also involve support for the Customised Programs team and have a dual reporting role the Manager Customised programs. This aspect of the position will involve CFLP logistical support and planning, development of CFLP support documents, supporting the development of travel and educational itineraries, making various travel reservations, supporting the development of CFLP proposals, reservation follow up, evaluations and various related administrative tasks as required.

Customer service and communication skills and experience are critically important. The ideal candidate will have sales experience with a focus on being able to convert leads to applicants, and applicants to enrolments. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with Australian Universities, students and overseas partners are also critical elements to the position.

SELECTION CRITERIA - ESSENTIAL

The successful candidate must meet the following essential criteria:

  • Completion of a Bachelor Degree level qualification with relevant work-related experience or completion of tertiary qualification with relevant work-related experience.
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in the Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Customer Service and Sales background/experience.
  • Problem solving and a high level of accuracy and an attention to detail in related administrative tasks.
  • High standards of customer service in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of supervision and as an effective member of a small team in a busy work environment.
  • Organisational skills that allow the appointee to co-ordinate and prioritise workloads.
  • Strong administration, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has travelled, worked, lived and/or studied abroad.
  • Presents a professional image at all times.
