Brewery / Gastro Pub | New Opening | Head  Chef

 

This is an amazing opportunity to join a brand new and one of a kind Brewery / Gastro Pub located in the Docklands (The District). From tapas, premium casual dining and grazing at the bar. There is nothing else like it in the area and we are wanting to produce great reviews and receive a lot of attention.  

This group is successful in the Melbourne scene and is constantly evolving and improving their brand. Dishing up some of the best pub-grub going and a hefty portfolio of beers and beverages to go with it, they are ahead of the game and a massive hit amongst the locals.

This soon to be successful business is looking for a Head Chef to join this great team on its journey to make a mark on providing an experience like no other. 


The Head Chef role-

Leading and working in a large brigade through busy service periods, with clear communication and teamwork

  • Staff training, management, and development of people of all levels
  • Ensuring quality and consistency of meals served, through the use of strong technique and equipment
  • COGS management, ensuring the profitability of the kitchen
  • Stock control through systemised ordering, stocktake and mise en place

You will be
 

  • A passionate Chef that people respect and aspire to work alongside
  • Excited by a challenging, fast paced environment, the thrill of opening a new venue
  • Cool under pressure, can work well in a team, delegate and adhere to tasks
  • Ambitious and determined to exceed expectations, with a keen desire to learn and develop professionally
  • Creative - present beauty in your food industry
  • A fanatical foodie, always up to date on current food trends and developments

You will have
 

  • Experience in a high volume business
  • Managed a team of at least 8 people
  • Have a passion for the business and food
  • A strong desire to progress yourself and your team
  • A strong understanding of financials
  • Ability to run a Food Safe program
