We are seeking a Head Chef to operate our established restaurant – The Palms Restaurant - that operates under The Palms Motel, Chinchilla.
We operate a 'Contemporary' facility that has a 60 seat dining room as well as supporting function and conference facilities. Our Chef will be responsible for delivery of the menu and ongoing design input into new opportunities and flavours, in consultation with management. The Head Chef will be also be responsible for all cost management, rostering and ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times.
Our restaurant will be open 6 days per week for Dinner and Breakfast with day time functions at times.
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate previous experience in the following:
* Preparation and cooking of high quality food,
* Experience in the management of kitchens including the ordering of food and kitchen supplies,
* Management of all costs in the kitchen and ensuring that these are in line with budget targets,
* Ability to work as part of a team and where applicable communicate your needs to your colleagues,
* A high level of interpersonal, communication and customer service skills,
* Thorough knowledge of WHS and good hygiene and cleanliness standards – including a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
Our Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that the vision of 'The Palms Restaurant' is both realised and delivered, while continuing to offer the excellent offering that has been established at the property. Our Restaurant is an integral part of our service offering at The Palms Motel, catering to both in-house diners and to the external public.
