We are currently looking for a strong CDP/ Demi Chef to work with our enthusiastic kitchen team. Open 7 days a week and seating around 120, we have been established as one of Canberra's busiest cafes for a number of years and are now looking to recruit new kitchen talent.
In this role you would start at 6am and work a cafe breakfast service from 7am for a few hours, reset the team and then assist with the lunchtime service. Your day would finish at around 3.30/4pm and work over a 5 day rotating roster. The weekends are very busy and you will need be able to thrive in a compact and fast paced kitchen.
The Role
The successful candidate will be required to;
Thrive in an environment of teamwork;
Work both the breakfast and lunch service 5 mornings a week;
Have an input around the menu;
Assist the Head and Sous Chef during service;
Grow with the position and move up within the group.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate;
Great personal presentation and hygiene;
Enthusiasm for the industry;
An ability to work well under pressure;
Excellent communication skills;
A positive 'can do' attitude;
A willingness to improve their cooking on a daily basis.
