DOOLEYS Regents Park Sports Club is a friendly neighborhood Club with a relaxed atmosphere, good food and great people. We are now seeking a qualified & professional Chef to join our established team on a Full Time basis. The position works on a rotating roster requiring availability across the week, including nights and weekends which could include work at DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club and DOOLEYS Waterview. Our kitchen requires a multi skilled chef that would like to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE -
Working alongside a team of Chefs, you will be responsible for food preparation, cooking and cleaning. With a strong focus on maintaining food quality via consistency, value for money and presentation.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing of the daily production schedule to determine the requirements for preparation
- Being responsible for running the kitchen operations autonomously as required
- Preparing and cooking a wide variety of foods such as meats, vegetables, fruits, soups, salads and cereals
- Preparing and baking a variety of pastries, rolls and other baked goods
- Replenishing service lines as required
- Maintaining a clean working area, utensils and equipment
- Ensuring all prepared and produced foods meet the clubs quality, timing, consistency and WH&S standards
ABOUT YOU -
To be considered for this role you must possess the following:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a restaurant, hotel or club environment
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast past environment with people from diverse backgrounds
- A genuine passion for cooking and a personable demeanour
- Availability to work a rotating roster across the week, including nights and weekends
- Have a license and reliable vehicle
- Have or willing to obtain an RSA and RCG
- Educational certificates in either commercial cookery or hospitality will be highly regarded, but not essential.
