About the Role
A new opportunity exists for a creative "Up & Coming Head Chef" with a passion for South East Asian cuisine. You will work in a collaborative environment to design and cost menus including A La Carte and some function menus
Your considerable talent on the plate will ensure every dish is exquisite in this fun and vibrant restaurant situated in South Yarra amongst the likes of Hawker Hall and Mr. Miyagi!
This role will suit a chef whose focus is quality vs quantity, with strong attention to detail when plating and presenting the menu. You will be a natural leader and good trainer, with strong financial acumen. Experience in a la carte environments and ideally have exposure to and a passion for contemporary South East Asian fine dining.
About You:
As the Head Chef you will be responsible all aspects of BOH including rostering, ordering and team development. You will be a qualified Chef, who is motivated, hands on, and a passionate team player with proven longevity in your previous employment.
Your strong leadership and management skills will see you succeed in training and mentoring a team of culinary professionals, along with providing ongoing training and support where required. Your strong financial acumen will be an asset to you, with managing budgetary requirements. Your knowledge of OH&S and Food Safety will assist you managing this kitchen environment. This is a hands on, autonomous role that requires a self-starter to hit the ground running!
Only Australian Permanent Residents with full working rights will be considered and you must be prepared to obtain a current Victorian Police Check.
