About the business and the role

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and passionate Restaurant & Tavern Manager to lead our team. The driven individual must demonstrate experience in front of house operations and an excellent level of food and beverage standards.

Reporting to the General  Manager, you will be required to demonstrate competence in business planning, sales growth strategies, cost control, stock management systems, and staff management.

You will be responsible for the front of house operations, cash handling, stock control, mentoring staff and end of day venue procedures. With a primary focus on quality food and beverage and dedicated service, you will need a strong background as an all-rounder from a foodie and bar focused venue.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Your duty and responsibilities within this role;

  • Implement & oversee the operational efficiently of each shift
  • Proactively lead your team in day to day operations, customer service, team development, sales, marketing, functions, staff management & OHS compliance.
  • You must have strong focus to drive the highest levels of customer service and ensure quality and consistency of operations, product and service.
  • Liaise with the Kitchen Team on a daily basis to ensure the food program is being delivered as per expectation
  • Adhere to and ensure venue compliance with all relevant licensing and statutory standards
  • Cashier procedures
  • Stock control
  • Manage client functions/events

 

Skills and experience

To be successful in this position, you must also possess:

  • Minimum of 2 year experience in a previous management role
  • Passion for beer, wine & food
  • An exceptional level of communication, organisation, attention to detail, and commitment to providing an outstanding guest experience
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • A willingness and commitment to take on a true challenge and drive a new venue to become an exceptional state leader
  • You must have a current RSA and be an Approved Manager
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
