The Position
ESS Support Services Worldwide, part of Compass Group PLC, provide catering and associated services to the mining and construction industries. We currently have fantastic opportunities for experienced Kitchen Hands to join our remote teams on a BIBO basis from Brisbane. This will be covering 14:7 roster, working 10 hour shifts. Our utilities team offers diversity in tasks and requires people who love to multitask, you will predominantly be assisting in our kitchen teams however may be asked to assist with Housekeeping and Cleaning from time to time!
The Person
- Knowledge of food service and preparation with basic knife skills
- Ability to operate industrial dishwashers and maintain crib room
- Experience in a commercial kitchen
- Set up, stock and clean dining areas
- Maintain cleanliness standards of the kitchen
- Assist in meeting HACCP standards
- Food hygiene certificate or equivalent
- The ability to work well within teams
- Exceptional personal presentation & flexible "can do" attitude
