About the Role
An exciting career opportunity exists for a highly motivated & proactive Sous Chef to join the Croxton Park Hotel. As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef during busy service periods, stock control and ensuring that food safety standards are maintained at all times. In addition you will be responsible for supervising the kitchen in absence of the Head Chef. You will also be completing mise-en-place, serving meals and cleaning (including wash up) the kitchen after preparation and service periods. The successful applicant will be confident in their skills, motivated to perform and will need to demonstrate:
- Experience working in a hands-on bistro style kitchen
- Uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation and safety
- Strong communication skills and a grace under pressure
- Excellent planning skills and the ability to think on your feet
Trade cooking qualifications are essential.
Must be available to work a rotating roster that consists of split shifts with weekend and public holiday availability essential.
