Bathurst Panthers are looking for experienced, vibrant and passionate chefs to join our dedicated team on a full-time or part-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will flourish in a fast paced kitchen environment and have the ability to work efficiently and pro-actively. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to your trade, customers and team and work together to provide high quality food to our members and guests. You will be involved in different varieties of cooking within both our functions and restaurant at our Bathurst Club.
Your Main Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Cooking a variety of al a carte dishes;
- Food preparation, presentation and service;
- Assist in the catering for functions and various events;
- Complete daily cleaning checklists to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace;
- Accepting food deliveries, checking stock and ensure the safe storage of products and;
- Abiding by relevant food health and safety legislation.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced cooking role within the hospitality industry;
- Functions experience desirable;
- A positive attitude and proactive work ethic;
- A dedicated team player who is passionate about food, quality and service;
- Fantastic communication skills;
- Strong passion and enthusiasm to constantly provide high standards of food;
- Strong attention to detail and;
- Ability to follow instructions in a prompt and efficient manner.
You will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work unsupervised. You will be available to work 7 days a week.
