At the BOATHOUSE FISHBAR our role is to welcome, marina residents, locals, and visitors with a warm and friendly smile, provide good food, efficient personalised service and be knowledgeable, confident and charming.

The BOATHOUSE FISHBAR is a new and trendy BAR/Restaurant opening at the iconic Port of Airlie Marina. The restaurant is setting a new benchmark on the Airlie Beach dining scene specialising in Seafood and desserts.  Its relentless focus on good quality food, great drinks menu and innovative dishes will make this a great place to dine.

Join our friendly team as Head Chef and be the centre of food innovation. We are looking for a Self-Driven Individual who is open minded, knows what it takes to exceed guest expectations, is hard-working and team-oriented.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the kitchen, educating staff on good food preparation, customer service and hygiene standards in line with HACCP standards.
  • You will be required to manage the restaurant kitchen financials from food cost, kitchen labour cost and profitability and build strong relationships with suppliers and guests.

A pivotal part of this role is to drive guest loyalty through innovative, fresh consistent food offerings and write our dynamic food menu including daily specials and event offerings.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

A Food safety certificate, driver's license, a friendly customer focused attitude and good food knowledge with a minimum of 2 years’ previous experience within a busy restaurant setting as a Head chef.
