About the business
We are a very busy and popular buffet restaurant in Hillcrest area. We open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. As a cashier/receptionist you will have a fix working hours on weekly basis, Monday to Thursday for lunch and dinner shifts.
About the role
We are looking for efficient Cashier/Receptionist who enjoys working with the public and has a friendly, outgoing personality. You will need to start earlier before trading hours to answer phone call and managing the restaurant booking. During trading hours you will do the cashier duty as well as answering phone and taking bookings. The ideal candidate should be dedicated to provide exceptional customer service and display a positive attitude when interacting with customers both in person or over the phone. Must be well spoken and have exceptional communication skills. To succeed in this position, you should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy. Microsoft Office skills and basic computer knowledge are essentials as you will be required to operate and run our online booking system. Fix working hours 10.30-14.30 & 17.00-21.00.
Cashier/Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers, answering their questions or queries
- Operating the cash register efficiently and accurately
- Following all procedures regarding store card, vouchers or any other promotions
- Answering phone and take customers booking or answering their inquiries
- Have a good understanding of restaurant menu, rules and policy
- Explaining all restaurant booking terms & condition to customers
- Entering booking to the systems and arranging booking table
- Receive payment by credit card online or over the phone
- Setting up booking table before trading started
- Balancing cash register and the end of shifts
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace

Skills and Experience
- Previous cashier/F&B/customer service working experience are preferable
- Knowledge of register operation, including cash/cheque/credit cards/gift card/voucher, etc
- Mathematical skills and the ability to handle transactions quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication skills and exceptional customer service
- Ability to work under pressure both independently and within a team
- Helpful and corteous approach to resolving customers complaints
