Grand Chancellor Melbourne is now seeking an experienced Night Manager (Duty Manager) to be based in the Front Office Department. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, this is a full-time, salaried position. The Night Manager (Duty Manager) will play a critical role in the hotel operations.
As a Night Manager (Duty Manager), you will be responsible for a number of areas, including, but not limited to:
•Managing the night audit process including correctly posting all hotel revenue for the day, accurately identifying discrepancies, and producing a complete night audit report thoroughly and accurately.
- Guest Satisfaction – including check in and check out and resolving complaints and responding to guest comments as required
- Managing & training team members and leading by example, with hands on approach.
- Assisting with the daily operation in Front Office.
- Ability to work alongside the Front Office Manager to ensure the highest level of customer service is achieved.
- Up-selling and promoting the business at every opportunity
- Answering telephones and taking reservations as required
- Revenue management in the absence of the Reservations Manager
- Ensure cashiering is 100% accurate at all times
- Representing senior Management in their absence
To be successful in this position you must possess and demonstrate:
- An energetic hands on management approach
- Experience in a front desk role in a hotel of a similar operational size.
- Have excellent customer service skills, problem solving and time management skills.
- Consistently deliver, in a helpful manner, informative advice on our products and services that exceeds the quality and standards of Guests expectations.
- Impeccable grooming and style standards
- A strong team player and exceptional motivational skills
- Solid organisational skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
- Ability to have fun coupled with a can do attitude.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to develop working relationships.
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including public holidays.
