About the Role
This large hill estate is one of Australia’s leading events and conferencing venues. Attracting travelling corporate workers on a global scale –located closely by Melbourne’s International airport.
It offers the best of accommodation – with capacity for up to 240 guests, with luxury suites that overlook the golf course, running tracks and tennis courts.
A seven day operation, the venue offers breakfast, buffet lunches, and high tea in addition to its private dining room experiences for special occasions. The grand dining room acts as the centrepiece for the venues dinner service, which offers a premium dining environment offering set menu options that are sourced from the best seasonal produce.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced Executive chef to manage all aspects of the kitchen. You will work closely with the operations management to ensure the smooth operation of this large scale venue. Overseeing high volume functions, this role requires a forward thinker who is able to look ahead at what needs to be done next.
Your duties include:
- Overseeing the service for large conferences and functions
- Ensuring food costing and meeting budgets
- Knowledge of FHS and OH&S
- Financial reporting
- Ensuring quality food across the venue – functions, restaurant, and conferences
- Menu prepping and designing
We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef with solid managerial skills and the ability to oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations. To be successful you will have:
- Minimum 2 years in a Head chef capacity
- Flexible with a 7 day working roster
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge
This is a fantastic role for a chef looking to guide a progressive team to success.
Only Australian Permanent Residents with full working rights will be considered and you must be prepared to obtain a current Victorian Police Check.
