The Property 

One of many unique venues from this eclectic boutique hospitality group, this particular local haunt located 10minutes from the CBD has a focus on fresh yet comforting food with a chilled out vibe. It's airy, upbeat and just down-right cool and most importantly it’s driven by delicious food.
  
The head chef is very into his food and excited about the next chapter for this restaurant. He has been with the company for 4 years and is creating a positive food focussed vibe in the kitchen. The venue is pumping most nights and is a go-to spot for many locals. 
  
The Role

This role will suit someone who’s crazy for the Mediterranean / Italian style cuisine. Someone who loves playing with food and coming up with specials. Ideally, you will come from a faced paced environment, used to producing consistent, quality food in busy situations.
  
Working with a very experienced and supportive head chef, as sous chef you will be responsible for all aspects of running the kitchen including:
  • Hands-on running of the kitchen, it’s a Mid-size team so it is a totally hands-on role.
  • Lead and train the team of chefs, improving food quality and skill level across the business
  • The ability to contribute to menu ideas and specials, creating and costing
  • The ability to work with the owners in developing and driving the business 
  • Team rostering & maintaining wage budgets
The Hours
  
The chefs in this kitchen typically work 45-50 hours per week. Four Straight shifts and one double. The money will be up to $1040+Tips and plus Super dependant on experience.
