About the business and the role

Opened nearly 10 years ago A Tavola in Darlinghurst has now become Sydney's go to place for Pasta. Fast forward to today and the A Tavola group now consists of A Tavola Darlinghurst, A Tavola Bondi, Flour Eggs Water in Surry Hills and Flour Eggs Water at the Tramsheds in Glebe.

As fanatical as we are about food – we put the same dedication and passion into finding the right staff to join our family and to represent our brand.

We have recently centralised our reservations system for efficiency and to streamline our processes. We are now recruiting for a front desk/reservations gun to work alongside our administrative team. A multi tasking, high energy, passionate hospitality professional ready to take on the challenge and be rewarded. Someone ready to say goodbye to hospitality hours but still be in the mix and say hello to your nights!

Job tasks and responsibilities

You will be our voice - our first port of call - you will be managing the phone, email enquiries, reservations, functions and group booking enquiries. You will work closely with our restaurant managers and management team to learn the ropes and have the most amazing communication skills to ensure that the venues run smoothly day in day out.

Our business has grown from a dream and we have busy and vibrant venues which need someone with an equally vibrant and passionate personality to represent our brand and manage our clients needs and expectations. You will need to understand each venue and its limitations and possibilities and be able to think outside the box and have the initiative to make things happen. If your enjoy a fast paced environment and want to work in a professional office team environment then we would love to hear from you.

Skills and experience

  • Impeccable and professional phone manner
  • Perfect grammar for email correspondence
  • Proficient with computers (Mac) and the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • An eye for fine detail
  • Proven experience in a similar role  - hospitality service, phone, email and online reservations platforms Dimmi and ResDiary preferred.
  • Ability to develop constructive working interpersonal relationships with clients.
  • Ability to multi task
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Amazing communication skills
  • Well presented
