The Job

If you are highly motivated and have exemplary analytical skills, this is the role for you. Reporting into the Director of Revenue QLD, you will be supporting Revenue Management and Distribution responsibilities for a small cluster of hotels. You will be responsible for making strategic decisions relating to generating increasing RevPAR for the company through collating and analysing data as required.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Apply effective yield management techniques to maximise occupancy, average rate and room revenue
  • Maintain accurate room rate control and availability status including and limited to public pricing, corporate pricing including the GDS, entertainment specials etc
  • Review daily, availability and rates, and make changes where necessary within the Property Management System, Channel Manager and other channels
  • Ensure effective utilisation & pricing of room types/categories in line with market demands
  • Drive initiatives in setting package rates and marketing strategies in conjunction with the General Manager / Hotel Manager, Revenue & Distribution and Sales & Marketing teams
  • Identify gaps in holdings for lower demand periods and put strategies in place to avoid a decline in RevPAR
  • Manage and review rate activity on all major websites. Create tracking reports to assist in reviewing competitor rate movements and to assist the yield committee in developing online rate strategies
  • Analysis and preparation of competitor performance reports on a monthly, mid monthly and ad-hoc basis to ensure hotels are performing ahead of respective RGI targets.

You will ideally have previous Reservations/Revenue Manager experience and knowledge of hotel booking distribution channels including GDS and Online Partner sites and of Yield and Inventory Management processes.
