The Meat & Wine Co restaurant forms part of a vibrant, passionate and dynamic national team. Established in 2000, The Meat & Wine Co prides itself in providing an exceptional and unique steakhouse dining experience. The restaurant has a unique atmosphere and ambience which is dedicated to our African heritage whilst still having reference to Australian surroundings.
Our Barangaroo restaurant celebrates and draws upon both Aboriginal and South African traditions. We are looking for experienced and passionate Grill Chefs who are committed to exceeding our customers' expectations whilst leading a professional and hardworking team.
To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:
- A genuine passion for food, people and the overall hospitality experience
- 1 + years of proven kitchen experience in a fast paced environment
- A minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery Qualification
- Experience cooking over a char-grill essential
- Advanced understanding and appreciation of all aspects of food and its service
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Advanced communication skills
- Impeccable presentation, hygiene and grooming standards
- Ensure compliance with all OHS legislation (act and regulation)
