Punthill is looking to hire a number of Casual Receptionist / Guest Service Agents, to join our brand new property in Ivanhoe.

About the role

Responds to all guest requests.

Executes prompt, courteous and accurate guest service at all times including reception, minor housekeeeping and maintenance tasks.

Fully knowledgeable about hotel guest rooms, rates, promotions, amenities, programs, hotel facilities and services.

Answer guest inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions etc.

Manage systems that are set up within the property to ensure accurate handling and monitoring of online, phone and face to face reservations. 

Increase guest loyalty by building productive guest relationships.

Action service recovery to rectify dissatisfied guest situations, using appropriate interpersonal skills to reduce tension or conflict between team members and/or guests to ensure an acceptable outcome is reached.

Engage with our guests on our online platforms, to both look for opportunities to engage and delight our guests, as well as recovery a guest's experience

Always look for ways to go above and beyond for our guests through innovative thinking, anticipating guests needs & simple, authentic ways to connect.

Skills and experience

Previous experience in reservations and or one to two-year͛s experience in front desk operations.

Uses increased skills and learning to deliver high quality outcomes.

Respects and follows company policies and shows organisational commitment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Previous experience with RMS, Opera, SiHot or other Property Management System.
