About the Role
As a Café Cook you will be responsible for the quality production of all meals and food services to the customers. We are offering a flexible roster to accommodate someone with a second job or other commitments. Duties include:
- Ensure the quality and flavour of food is maintained to the highest standard at all times
- Monitor stock control, including submission of order to the Café Manager
- Assist with menu planning when required
- Ensure food wastage is kept to a minimum
- Manage and train kitchen hands when required
- Provide a high level of customer service
About You
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a cook/chef
- Ability to handle and use approved commercial chemicals in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Experience with budget/cost control in alignment with ordering stock
- Ability to make decisions while working with minimal supervision
- Previous experience working in the tourism industry highly regarded
- Excellent time management and communication skills
