The Red Lion Hotel is currently looking for a Qualified Chef to join our kitchen. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will be involved in all aspects of the kitchen operation as well as assisting in leading and motivating the kitchen team.
Important characteristics for the role are:
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for Food
• Enjoy working in a dynamic - fast paced kitchen and have the ability to perform multiple tasks at once.
• Working in a team environment
Your role and responsibilities will include (but not limited to).
• Food preparation and plate presentation for café & restaurant, room service and functions.
• Assisting with the supervision, motivation and training and development of other Chefs (apprentices included).
• Fulfilling guests requests
• Stock control and ordering
• Maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment.
• Preparing and storing food
• Ensuring food safety compliance
